The SIA CCTV Operator Course is a mandatory qualification for individuals who wish to work as CCTV operatives in the UK. Holding a valid SIA licence is a legal requirement under the Security Industry Act 2001.

Learners must be 18 years or older.
Minimum English Level 1 (or B1/ESOL Level 1 equivalent).
One valid photo ID (passport or driving licence).

The course is delivered over three (3) days, with a minimum of 23 guided learning hours, including both classroom teaching and distance learning components.

Passing all assessments is required to obtain the recognised qualification and apply for the SIA CCTV Operator Licence.
After passing the course, learners must apply to the SIA and pay the £184 licence fee directly to the SIA Home Office.
