2. Working as a CCTV Operator in the Private Security Industry

  • Functions and components of CCTV systems

  • Control room health & safety

3. Practical Operation of CCTV Equipment

Hands-on learning that includes:

  • Operating CCTV systems

  • Monitoring live and recorded footage

  • Incident identification and response

  • Using CCTV equipment safely and effectively


Assessment and Examination

At the end of the course, learners must complete:

  • Two written examinations

  • One practical assessment

Passing all assessments is required to obtain the recognised qualification and apply for the SIA CCTV Operator Licence.
